Bintang

kayakasia local sea kayak guide Bintan Indonesia eco adventure

Bintang grew up in the cultural city of Yogyakarta, and is our youngest guide, bringing energy and passion. Despite his youth, he has built solid experience as a sea kayaker, whitewater kayaker, rafting guide, and climber. A recent politics graduate, he adds a thoughtful and grounded perspective to his work, combining awareness, leadership, and adaptability in the field.

“I began my journey in the outdoors during high school, starting with rock climbing and mountain hiking. From the very beginning, this was the life I dreamed of—something I longed for and knew I had to pursue. This is what I want, this is what I’ve been searching for. But for me, home is not a place, but a feeling—one I carry with me wherever I go.

In the restless flow of the rapids, I’ve learned to let go of the self and reconnect with something deeper. With every rapid, I lose a part of who I thought I was, and rediscover who I truly am. Each paddle stroke is a meditation, a slow, a silent agreement to be fully here, now.”…

Bintang is the manager for Komodo/Raja Ampat.
