Northern Islands

Type: Sea
Duration: 1 to 3 days

Northern Islands Trail
This is a coastal sea kayaking trail that offers 5 islands, numerous rivers, and urban-wilderness mix.

Right off Sembawang Park are two mangrove rivers of Sg. Simpang and Sg. Khatib-Bongsu, where at high tides, you can spend a couple of hours exploring disused prawn farms, sinking trawlers, and the many waterways created by the mangrove forests. Paddling along the coast will also bring you to interesting islands of P. Seletar, P. Serangoon, the Punggol islands, and P. Ubin.

This coastal kayaking trail is suitable for beginners and advanced paddlers alike, and an exciting way to explore our northern coast. This trail can be done as a 1 to 3 days trip, and suitable as part of NYAA expeditions.
